Why I PMC - Robert Cote
#WhyIPMC guest blog by Robert Cote, 4-year PMC Unpaved Pioneer rider and Summit Fundraiser, 13-year PMC rider

I ride the Unpaved pretty much for the same reason the hundreds of other riders do.IMG_9778

I’m 66 years old, I’ll be 67 when the next event rolls around and I’ve been blessed with overall generally good health. But others are not so lucky. Every year I year, hear of family and friends who are dealing with cancer. Coworkers, college classmates, older and younger siblings have faced all types of cancer. Yet, besides offering moral support there is little I could do. I’m not a researcher or medical professional; it’s not like I could cure cancer.

But then I realized there is something I can do. Curing cancer takes more than just brains, it takes money. A lot of it. Raising money is something I can do. I’ve raised more than $12,000 in the past three PMC Unpaved events and I intend raise more this year.IMG_9782
This will be my 17th PMC related event, the total I’ve raised is more than $100,000.
